Minimum overall and science grade point average of 3.0 (on a four-point scale). Courses with a grade of “C” or below will not transfer but will be included in the grade point average. Evidence of having completed 60 hours of observation in three different physical therapy settings with a physical therapist and a minimum of 20 hours in each physical location. These hours must be completed prior to application and will need to be verified through PTCAS. Completion of the required liberal arts prerequisites, program prerequisites and competencies prior to beginning the professional program. Students from University of Findlay may apply the fall of their junior year, transfer students the fall of their senior year. Completion of the GRE exam with scores reported to PTCAS. Submission of two letters of reference through PTCAS. One from a physical therapist, one from a faculty member. Program Prerequisites: Human Anatomy and Physiology (8 hours) Basic Physics (8 hours) General Chemistry (8 hours) Kinesiology (3 hours) Exercise Physiology (3 hours) Elementary Statistics (3 hours) Psychology (9 hours - including General, Developmental and Abnormal Psychology) Medical Terminology (3 hours) Introduction to Health Professions (1 hour) Early Assurance Program Incoming freshman with strong high school GPA (3.5 or higher on a 4.0 scale) and 26 or higher on the ACT (1760 on SAT) may be eligible for freshman Early Assurance into the Traditional DPT program. Freshman that do not meet the above minimums may still apply to the Traditional DPT program. English Language Requirements: The minimum score of TOEFL IBT is 79 and the minimum score of IELTS is 7.0.
